The Uganda Healthcare Federation, with USAID support, created the Medical Records and Data Reporting System (MRDRS), a digital platform for essential patient data collection in health facilities. This system integrates with the national DHIS2 via API for automatic data submission and provides an Android app for offline data capture. Upcoming Phase II enhancements will introduce a membership module for insurance group management, a billing module for patient transaction tracking, improved DHIS2 integration for more reports, a stock management module for supply tracking, expanded user management for pharmacies, and better reporting on billing and insurance.
