Drones are utilized in Ghana for the delivery of medical supplies, such as vaccines, blood, and medicines, especially to remote locations. Zipline Drone Delivery started delivering essential logistics for COVID-19, with its inaugural test flight occurring in April 2020. Since then, it has facilitated the transport of samples from over 1,000 health facilities in rural areas to laboratories in Accra and Kumasi.
