Summary
PACS, a system implemented in November 2015 and donated by the Osirix foundation, facilitates the integration of various imaging modalities such as CT, MRI, digital radiology, and ultrasound. It provides a centralized storage solution for medical images, allowing easy access for radiologists and physicians via a web portal, enhancing the efficiency of image retrieval. Currently, PACS is exclusively available at JDWNRH in Thimphu. The health focus areas associated with this system include Injuries, Sexual and Reproductive Health, Non-communicable diseases (NCDs), Communicable diseases, Environmental health, Maternal and child health, as well as other chronic conditions and disabilities.
