The Ministry of Health (MoH) has adopted the District Health Information Software 2 (DHIS2) to enhance health data management across the system. This open-source platform allows for real-time data collection, analysis, and reporting, ultimately improving health service efficiency. The initiative aims to better track health indicators, optimize data workflows, and support informed decision-making at different health levels. Through this implementation, the MoH expects to strengthen health information systems, resulting in improved community health outcomes by enabling the use of timely and accurate data. Essential components for success include training health workers and providing ongoing support. The goals also encompass capturing high-quality data from all facilities, monitoring service delivery and disease burden, facilitating evidence-based planning and resource allocation, enabling real-time dashboards for outbreak alerts, meeting reporting demands, and fostering a culture of data utilization by building staff capacity in data quality and analysis. The approach targets the general population as its primary focus area.
