Summary
The project is designed to digitize Kenya’s Ministry of Health Mother-Child Health handbook through the creation of a Maternal Health Information System (MHIS). This system will collect, store, and analyze maternal health data, specifically targeting underserved counties to enhance antenatal care (ANC) in line with the Android FHIR SDK and WHO SMART guidelines. Mama’s Hub will feature applications for both providers and patients, integrating with existing systems like the Kenya Health Information System and KenyaEMR+. By promoting data sharing and enabling real-time decision-making, the project aims to reduce maternal mortality and enhance health outcomes. It prioritizes data privacy and accessibility, ultimately improving ANC delivery and the overall maternal health experience, focusing on maternal and child health.
