The Pharmaceutical Information Portal (PIP) is a data warehouse in Uganda designed to improve decision-making in the public sector medicines supply chain. It collects data from various sources, including health facility inventories and performance assessments, to offer insights on supply chain efficiency. Its primary users are supply chain managers across different administrative levels. PIP is also incorporating a national emergency logistics management system to enhance the pre-positioning of supplies during epidemic outbreaks, with a focus on communicable diseases and other health areas.
