The program operates in two phases: initially catering to identified children and subsequently expanding to identify additional needs. Key features include a provider-to-provider app, a direct-to-patient app, and a helpline, all supported by Ayu, a digital assistant that enhances evidence-based care delivery by health workers. This approach allows for remote consultations, thereby improving accessibility, minimizing travel expenses, and addressing healthcare shortages. Intelehealth is utilized by UNICEF in Kyrgyzstan and also focuses on training medical professionals, enhancing care for children with disabilities, and raising community awareness about disability and telehealth services. The initiative specifically seeks to provide both specialized and general healthcare for children with disabilities and their families, particularly those living in poverty in rural areas of the Kyrgyz Republic, with the overarching goal of improving health outcomes.
