Sri Lanka is experiencing a rise in dengue fever cases, necessitating effective control measures. Rapid investigation of suspected cases has been identified as a crucial strategy to prevent the disease's spread. However, the existing paper-based notification system has caused delays in timely responses. In response, a new online e-notification system has been introduced, encompassing both government and private laboratories. This system triggers notifications based on positive Dengue NS1 Antigen test results and sends them to the relevant Medical Officer of Health (MOH). The MOH then updates the status of actions taken, which can be monitored on a color-coded dashboard. The primary health focus area remains communicable diseases.
