The USAID Boresha Afya Lake and Western Zone is a five-year initiative designed to improve health outcomes in Tanzania, particularly for women, youth, and children. The project aims to enhance access to quality, integrated health services across seven regions in Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar. Led by Jhpiego in collaboration with EngenderHealth and PATH, it incorporates a digital health component that includes Digital Learning for healthcare provider training, an Emergency Transport system to improve maternal survival, OpenSRP for client data management, and GIS for operational planning. The focus areas of the project are maternal and child health, as well as vaccination and immunization, with an overarching goal of ensuring respectful and effective healthcare delivery.
