UNICEF and WHO are collaborating on a pilot project in Malawi aimed at improving the Integrated Diseases Surveillance and Response (IDSR) system using a mobile health (mHealth) solution. The project will be rolled out in 14 districts, enabling weekly IDSR reporting through SMS between health facilities and epidemiology units. Additionally, a management dashboard will be created at national and district levels to enhance surveillance effectiveness. Key health focus areas include maternal and child health, communicable diseases, and other health issues.
