National Resource Management Information System
Origin language: English
The nationwide implementation of NISUR faced organizational and technical challenges. Process-related challenges included incomplete or outdated resource information, varying levels of digital literacy among administrative staff, and the transition from decentralized reporting to a unified national system. Technical challenges involved integrating data from multiple legacy information systems, ensuring data consistency, standardizing organizational structures, and maintaining timely updates from healthcare facilities across the country.
The successful implementation of NISUR was supported by strong leadership from the Ministry of Health, active collaboration with healthcare organizations, and the adoption of standardized national data models for health resources. Continuous user training, centralized governance of master data, and integration with other national health information systems improved data quality, strengthened resource planning, and enabled evidence-based management of the healthcare system.
