The Community Health Information Tracking System (CHITS) is an electronic medical record system developed by the University of the Philippines-Manila to improve health information management in primary care settings. It was created with input from health workers to align with the workflows of local health centers and emphasizes effective data collection and reporting for decision-makers. CHITS includes various components designed to provide high-quality data while also serving as a capacity-building initiative for health workers. Utilizing free and open-source software, CHITS is adaptable to the requirements of Rural Health Units, local health centers, the Department of Health, and the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation. The system focuses on multiple health areas, including Sexual and Reproductive Health, Vaccination/Immunization, Non-communicable Diseases (NCDs), Maternal and Child Health, Communicable Diseases, and Mental Health.
