Summary
The GHSC-PSM project successfully implemented a new electronic Logistics Management Information System (e-LMIS) by creating a comprehensive roll-out plan that clarified stakeholder roles and responsibilities. The project team gathered relevant data, developed training materials, established a trainer pool, and hosted regional training workshops. Concurrently, the Guinea Ministry of Health set up a governance body for OpenLMIS, which included a steering committee and a multidisciplinary technical team with representatives from various organizations such as DNPM, BSD, ICT, Pharmacie Centrale de Guinée, USAID, GHSC-PSM, Catholic Relief Services, and WHO. The health focus areas addressed by the project included vaccination/immunization, communicable diseases, maternal and child health, and sexual and reproductive health.
