The Community Score Cards (CSC) were developed by CARE in Malawi in 2002 as a participatory tool designed for assessing, planning, monitoring, and evaluating services. They foster collaboration between service users and providers to tackle service delivery challenges. The Digital Community Scorecard platform further enhances this initiative by providing tools for digitizing, analyzing, and sharing community data. Key features include an offline Android app for data entry, a project management tool for scorecard analysis, and a global data hub for regional and global data archiving and analysis. The CSC can be adapted across various service sectors, proving to be a versatile tool for improving service delivery, particularly in health focus areas such as injuries, communicable diseases, maternal and child health, vaccination/immunization, sexual and reproductive health, mental health, and health promotion.
