The CPS platform is a digital system developed in Burkina Faso to manage seasonal malaria chemoprevention (CPS) campaigns. It aims to improve the efficiency, transparency and quality of interventions by facilitating the collection, centralization, analysis and visualization of data at every stage of campaigns, including child enrolment, drug distribution, team supervision and monitoring of key indicators. Based on DHIS2, CPS includes mobile tools for data collection and micro-planning modules. It is interoperable via APIs, and enables data to be imported and exported in a variety of formats. A fully digitized version is currently being deployed in three pilot districts, while a semi-digitized version is being used nationwide. Managed by the Secrétariat Permanent pour l'Élimination du Paludisme (SP/Palu) with technical assistance from DSI and support from CHAI, the platform promotes informed decision-making for the elimination of malaria in children under 5. The aim is to strengthen the quality and effectiveness of CPS campaigns by digitizing data collection, analysis and monitoring in order to achieve better coverage by 2026, targeting mainly health professionals and structures, as well as children in rural and urban areas.
