Summary
The global response to COVID-19 emphasizes equitable vaccine distribution with a target to vaccinate 20% of the population across various age groups. In Pakistan, Pace Technologies has introduced COVIM, a system designed to enhance the supply chain for vaccine administration across federal, provincial, and district levels, as well as health facilities. COVIM manages six types of vaccines and provides real-time visibility through web and Android interfaces, allowing for effective stock management, shipment tracking, expiry monitoring, and dose administration reporting. Implemented in over 3,000 health facilities, COVIM equips health managers with data dashboards for informed decision-making, thus supporting effective vaccination efforts amid the challenges posed by the pandemic. The focus areas include communicable diseases.
