SmartHIS is an integrated hospital information system that emerged from the eHMIS project tested at Tororo District Hospital in 2004. Its primary goal is to develop a free, lightweight system that covers all hospital processes, with a focus on key health areas including Sexual and Reproductive Health, Maternal and Child Health, and other health services.
