My Personal Health Bank (MPHB) is an initiative designed to assist Tanzanians in monitoring crucial healthcare information, thereby enhancing access to services, diagnostics, and treatments while mitigating healthcare disparities. The app offers valuable data for researchers and policymakers, enabling them to customize healthcare interventions effectively. It includes two user interfaces: one for patients, allowing data sharing and access, and another for healthcare providers, prioritizing patient data privacy and ownership. Built on FHIR standards and hosted on secure cloud storage, the app emphasizes ease of use for both patients and providers. A feasibility study is underway to gather user insights through observations, qualitative interviews, and questionnaires, aimed at refining the app's design and functionality prior to its launch in Dodoma, Tanzania. Key health focus areas include Cancer, Maternal and Child Health, Health Promotion, Vaccination/Immunization, Non-communicable Diseases (NCDs), and Mental Health, among others.
