SIGASPE is a national human resources management platform dedicated to the public sector in Burkina Faso, including the staff of the Ministry of Health. It facilitates administrative management, career management, payroll and personnel planning, with the main aim of establishing a reliable database on the State's human resources, to optimize workforce planning and allocation. SIGASPE is interoperable with other financial and administrative management systems. The Human Resources Information System (HRIS) is proprietary and non-open source, developed by the Direction Générale des Systèmes d'Information (DGSI) in partnership with the Direction des Ressources Humaines du Ministère de la Santé (DRH). The aim is to strengthen public health human resources management by centralizing administrative, career and payroll data on this interoperable platform by 2026, targeting mainly healthcare professionals in both rural and urban areas.
