Summary
PICAPS (Cooperative Intelligence Platform in Primary Health Care) is a hybrid platform aimed at helping communities deal with the socioeconomic effects of Covid-19. It enhances digital engagement, facilitates data collection, and distributes information for educational and technical support targeted at health managers and community organizations. Developed in partnership with the Federal University of Brasilia (UnB) and the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz), PICAPS includes participatory surveillance systems. Its expansion into Rio Grande do Sul is supported by the Council of Municipal Health Secretariats (RS-COSEMS) and reputable local universities, focusing on areas such as communicable diseases and health promotion, among others.
