MSF OCG uses DHIS2 to manage humanitarian health data across 20 countries but faced challenges such as diverse medical programs, limited user experience with DHIS2, and connectivity issues. To overcome these difficulties, MSF OCG partnered with BAO for customization and consultation on DHIS2 deployment. They implemented a three-domain data collection architecture to replace an outdated system, thereby improving patient data usage and care capabilities. Additionally, they established a network of decentralized servers to synchronize data with a central cloud server, ensuring compliance with local data privacy regulations while safeguarding patient information. The health focus areas include emergencies and other sectors.
