Summary
PROMPTS is a free text messaging platform aimed at supporting pregnant women and new mothers within public health systems. It offers timely care through behavioral nudges and an AI-assisted helpdesk. In under a year, over 150,000 mothers have signed up from more than 250 public hospitals. The program has promptly addressed over 32,000 inquiries within 24 hours and has led to a 20% increase in the completion of four antenatal care (ANC) visits compared to non-participating facilities. A randomized controlled trial found that participants were 22% more likely to seek health advice and 1.6 times more likely to engage in family planning after receiving SMS communications. The initiative focuses on maternal and child health.
