HeRAMS is a collaborative information system designed to monitor the availability and functionality of healthcare facilities, focusing on crisis-affected areas. It assesses the accessibility of essential services, the equipment available and the capacity of facilities to provide healthcare. The system is designed to support planning and decision-making within the healthcare system. The monitoring and analysis system is national, but focuses specifically on crisis areas. It uses a Consumer API to consume data from other systems, and an Aggregator API to aggregate data from multiple sources for analysis. HeRAMS is proprietary and not open source, and is not yet available. In collaboration with WHO, HeRAMS aims to monitor the availability and capacity of health services in Burkina Faso, particularly in crisis areas, to guide planning between now and 2026. The health areas address various target populations, including health professionals, health facilities, the elderly (65+), women, men, and adults (18+).
