The ASCENT project utilizes digital adherence technologies, such as smart pillboxes and mobile platforms, to assist tuberculosis (TB) patients in following their treatment plans. By facilitating remote monitoring and personalized care, the project enables timely interventions, thereby improving treatment outcomes in regions heavily affected by TB. This innovative approach empowers patients to better manage their health and provides healthcare workers with real-time data for optimized care. As a result, the risk of drug resistance is reduced, enhancing the overall success of TB treatment. Supported by Unitaid, the ASCENT project aims to help individuals impacted by TB achieve successful treatment through the use of digital adherence technology, focusing on communicable diseases and serving the general population.
