Summary
The initiative aims to provide comprehensive coverage for all drug-sensitive tuberculosis (DS-TB) patients, covering both biologically confirmed and clinically diagnosed cases in accordance with national guidelines. The National Tuberculosis Program will start the implementation at Township TB Centers across various regions and states, with plans to eventually extend the system to include all DS-TB patients across different sectors. Future expansions may also target TB suspects and individuals screened for TB, regardless of their screening outcomes. This effort aligns with health focus areas related to communicable diseases.
