Summary
The One Health Surveillance Platform (OHSP) was developed as a surveillance system by Luke International in response to the Ebola outbreak. It is designed to be a coordinated and effective system for real-time collection, analysis, and feedback on potential disease outbreaks. With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Health utilized the platform to enhance their response efforts, quickly adapting it to manage the surge in cases. As a result, the OHSP became the primary platform for all COVID-19 data, with over 550 users trained across 16 districts. The health focus areas covered by the platform include health promotion, chronic conditions and disabilities, non-communicable diseases, skin diseases, communicable diseases, ophthalmology, sexual and reproductive health, vaccination/immunization, environmental health, and injuries.
