DelphiCare is a transformative digital support system designed to enhance pediatric HIV care in Zambia. By integrating real-time clinical decision support into everyday practice, DelphiCare equips healthcare workers with the tools they need to accurately diagnose, manage, and treat HIV among children. The tablet-based platform streamlines patient management, ensures adherence to updated guidelines, and provides critical information to improve treatment outcomes and quality of care. The project targets children under 5, children aged 5 to 11, and adolescents aged 12 to 18. It is a collaborative effort involving the University of Maryland's Center for International Health, Education, and Biosecurity (CIHEB), D-Tree, and the Zambian Ministry of Health. Launched on September 9, 2019, the project is ongoing and is currently in the pilot/testing phase in Zambia. DelphiCare supports various health initiatives, including the elimination of mother-to-child transmission (EMTCT) of HIV/AIDS and syphilis, HIV/AIDS management, and addressing adolescent communicable diseases and sexual and reproductive health. The system leverages low code/no code technology to facilitate ease of use and adaptability. The project is funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and aims to impact between 3,000 to 10,000 individuals.
