The GSMA, in partnership with CABI and a global content consortium, has developed open-source, mobile-friendly content focused on nutrition and maternal, newborn, and child health (MNCH) for Malawi, available in Chichewa, Tumbuka, and English. Crafted by local experts, this content aligns with recommended MNCH practices and local nutrition guidelines, receiving validation from the Ministry of Health. The materials include topic-specific factsheets, SMS messages, and voice message transcripts, covering health focus areas such as maternal and child health, health promotion, and other chronic conditions and disabilities.
