Summary
ECO-MAMA is a registered for profit startup that provides accessible and affordable digital mental health solutions tailored to the unique needs of vulnerable women in climate-affected communities. By leveraging AI-powered chatbots, telepsychiatry, and the Women Warriors Program, ECO-MAMA empowers women with tools to cope with climate-induced mental health challenges. The platform offers scalable, remote access to mental health support, aiming to bridge the gap where traditional mental health services are scarce.
Objectives:
Increase access to digital mental health services for women in rural and underserved communities
Train Women Warriors to become local ambassadors for mental health, fostering peer-to-peer support and increasing awareness.
Target Population: ECO-MAMA primarily targets vulnerable women in East Africa, particularly those in rural and underserved communities who are experiencing mental health challenges due to the compounded effects of climate change, including stress from extreme weather, food insecurity, and displacement. The platform also targets young girls ( students, and non-students), women in agriculture, a group disproportionately affected by environmental changes, and women community health workers to be trained to train others.
Health Focus Area: The core health focus of ECO-MAMA is on mental health and well-being, addressing the psychological impact of climate change. Through its innovative programs, the organization tackles issues such as stress, anxiety, and depression caused by climate-induced events, while also promoting climate resilience and community-based mental health support. SDGs 3: good health, and well-being, and SDGs : climate action , SDGs in full : Sustainable Development Goals
We are welcoming investors, strategic partners, and collaborators to help Ecomama in it's growth.
