GNU Health has been successfully implemented as a pilot project at Bafia District Hospital, aligning with the WHO's strategy to strengthen Cameroon’s national health system. This initiative has enhanced the quality of patient care and improved hospital management, health prevention efforts, health statistics, and the training of healthcare staff. The system has been adopted in various hospital units including Management, Cashier, Outpatient, Mother-Child Consultation, Inpatient, Medical Analysis Laboratory, Maternity, Neonatology, and HIV/AIDS care. Key health focus areas addressed by this initiative include Maternal and Child Health, Sexual and Reproductive Health, Non-communicable Diseases (NCDs), Mental Health, Communicable Diseases, and Injuries.
