In 2017, the County Government of Siaya partnered with Medic Mobile to launch the Community Health Toolkit (CHT) for the Siaya Community Health Worker (CHW) program. This initiative has grown to support over 2,217 CHWs, who provide a range of integrated care services including immunization, Integrated Community Case Management (iCCM), malnutrition support, family planning, eye care, community disease surveillance, and HIV testing and referrals for pregnant women and children. Health focus areas include maternal and child health, sexual and reproductive health, environmental health, vaccination/immunization, communicable diseases, chronic conditions and disabilities, health promotion, and mental health.
