The DHIS2 Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Reporting System is a digital platform designed to enhance the collection, management, and analysis of health-sector data on gender-based violence in Bangladesh. This system allows health facilities to securely report GBV cases in a standardized way via the national DHIS2 platform. It facilitates the routine monitoring of GBV service utilization, characteristics of survivors, types of violence, and health services provided. By offering timely and reliable data, the system aids program managers and policymakers in improving prevention, response, and support services for GBV survivors. Key benefits include strengthened reporting and monitoring of GBV health services, timely data generation for planning, tracking service utilization by survivors, supporting evidence-based interventions, improving the quality of GBV health information, and enhancing coordination between health facilities and program managers. The focus areas of this initiative are injuries, targeting both women and men as the population served.
