The electronic Management Information System (eMIS) is a digital initiative launched by the Directorate General of Family Planning (DGFP) in Bangladesh, with support from USAID-funded MEASURE Evaluation, icddr,b, and MaMoni MNCSP/Save the Children. Initially piloted in 2015 in the Tangail and Habiganj districts, eMIS demonstrated positive outcomes, leading to its expansion across more regions. As of March 2024, eMIS has been implemented in 37 out of 64 districts in Bangladesh, significantly improving the management of family planning services. The initiative focuses on health areas including maternal and child health as well as sexual and reproductive health.
