SERRUM was established to improve COVID-19 vaccination efficiency in the Caribbean, specifically noted through Anguilla's recovery results. The initiative facilitated a transparent vaccination process, achieving over 75% vaccination of eligible Anguillians within seven weeks. Additionally, SERRUM supplied the government with resources such as devices and internet access at no charge. Its Vaccine Passport Module identifies vaccinated individuals, crucial for safe travel and the resumption of business in a tourism-reliant economy. Moreover, the initiative included a Data Analytics Dashboard to aid informed decision-making. Future plans entail vaccinating minors, bolstering contact tracing efforts, and creating a regional vaccine passport (CARIPASS) to ease travel across the Caribbean.
