Summary
The Unified Cancer Information System streamlines cancer and screening data into one cohesive platform, consolidating information that was previously spread across various electronic systems. Since June 2019, all cancer and screening service providers are mandated to register each case electronically within this system. The screening module incorporates cases funded by the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) from different regions, along with those supported by Tbilisi City Hall, which are entered by the National Screening Center as the service provider. Additionally, the cancer registry is linked with a reporting module that allows for direct report submissions. Following these submissions, reimbursements for services rendered are processed through the State Treasury. The system is designed to focus on cancer health issues, targeting the general population.
