Summary
The GeoPrism Registry software, an open-source common geo-registry (CGR), is implemented for the Ministry of Health in the Lao People's Democratic Republic (Lao PDR) with support from the Clinton Health Access Initiative, TerraFrame and the Health GeoLab Hub from 2019 to 2023. In 2024, the system was fully handed over to the Center for Health Statistics and Information (CHSI). Currently, CHSI staff use it to manage and share master lists of public health facilities, administrative divisions, and medical warehouses across 18 provinces. The CGR is also being considered for managing lists of village malaria workers, aiming to reduce the time and effort needed to maintain and share core geographical information supporting public health initiatives targeting the general population in Lao PDR.
