Nurses record patient information into forms on these devices, which transmit the data to MOTECH servers. The system verifies the healthcare information against the Ghana Health Service's recommended treatment schedules. In cases where a patient misses a scheduled care event, the Mobile Midwife service sends a reminder message to the patient, while healthcare workers receive notifications regarding any changes in the patient's status. The primary health focus of this system is maternal and child health.
