E-Heza Data Solutions is a digital health platform tailored for Sub-Saharan Africa, specifically aiming to enhance primary healthcare in Rwanda. This platform assists nurses, midwives, and community health workers (CHWs) by streamlining workflows and facilitating effective communication. E-Heza utilizes API and FHIR standards for integration with existing health systems, ensuring smooth data sharing across different levels of care. Adhering to WHO clinical protocols, it provides decision support for various services, including COVID-19 and maternal care. Built on scalable open-source technology, such as Drupal and Elm, E-Heza enables efficient data collection and real-time reporting while supporting national health goals to promote equity and high-quality care. The platform seeks to decrease mortality and morbidity, reduce suffering, and improve treatment outcomes, addressing a comprehensive range of health concerns for families from villages to health centers and hospitals in Rwanda.
