The Mobile for Life (mUzima) is an open-source mHealth Android application framework designed for user-friendly customization across various health domains. It integrates effectively with OpenMRS EHR systems, which are used in over 40 countries, predominantly in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. mUzima offers robust health information exchange capabilities and can operate both online and offline, making it accessible for healthcare providers in remote areas. This enhances patient care and aims to bridge the digital divide. The application focuses on numerous health areas, including vaccination/immunization, non-communicable diseases (NCDs), communicable diseases, mental health, maternal and child health, sexual and reproductive health, health promotion, and cancer.
