The SPAQ project aims to integrate digital healthcare to improve resilience in fragile settings by providing an all-in-one digital obstetrics solution tailored for small health centers. This solution combines smartphones, specialized software, medical devices, and solar power to empower healthcare workers. Key tools include portable ultrasound and fetal monitors, streamlined through an app that guides healthcare workers through the antenatal care process. This approach aims to enhance maternal health outcomes efficiently and effectively. The primary objective is to significantly reduce maternal mortality in fragile areas by incorporating digital solutions into routine healthcare processes. This integration enhances data utility and healthcare quality through an advanced, sustainable digital package. The project is currently in the pilot/testing phase and is being implemented in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It targets pregnant women and involves the use of software and phone-based decision support for maternal and child health. The anticipated outcomes include reaching 3,000 to 10,000 beneficiaries, demonstrating the potential for significant impact on maternal health in these settings.
