Summary
MSFeCARE has launched a new electronic Decision Support System (eDSS) aimed at enhancing the diagnosis and treatment of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), building on its successful pediatric care programs. Piloted in the Democratic Republic of Congo in 2019, this STI-focused eDSS incorporates evidence-based guidelines to assist frontline healthcare providers in effectively managing STI cases. The goal is to refine STI management in primary healthcare by providing clinicians with a digital tool that supports accurate and efficient diagnosis and treatment, ultimately improving health outcomes and reducing infection spread. The target population for this initiative is adults aged 18 and older, with a focus on Sexual and Reproductive Health.
