Fondation Femme Plus (FFP), a non-profit organization in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, partnered with us to create a digital resource map and toll-free hotline aimed at helping community members in Bukavu access information and services related to HIV/AIDS. FFP gathered essential data, including contact information, service availability, and GPS coordinates from local medical and social service providers for individuals living with HIV/AIDS, using offline data collection methods on tablets. The resource map was developed using CartoDB, allowing for ongoing updates and validation by both FFP and government partners. The hotline was launched in early 2017, enabling FFP operators to assist callers by providing them with local resource addresses and phone numbers, including those for confidential testing facilities. The initiative focuses on addressing communicable diseases.
