The EQUALITE platform supports the implementation of Burkina Faso's National Quality Improvement Strategy. Used by a range of healthcare establishments such as hospitals and health centers, it enables self-assessment and reporting, as well as supervision and analysis of results by health authorities. It manages qualitative performance data and functions as a quality management and auditing system. Key functionalities include a dashboard of quality indicators, evaluation grids, generation of clinical audit reports, and monitoring of improvement plans. In production since February 2018 and covering between 51 and 200 structures, EQUALITE uses technologies such as HL7 FHIR and offers API interfaces for data import/export. Aiming to improve the quality of care by 2026, the platform targets both urban and rural populations.
