Tanzania has implemented a Vaccine Information Management System (VIMS) that consolidates vaccine data management, stock control, and cold chain equipment inventory into a single platform. This system improves the monitoring and efficiency of immunization programs and replaces three previous tools: the district vaccine data management tool (DVDMT), stock management tool (SMT), and cold chain equipment inventory management tool (CCEIT). The primary focus of this initiative is on vaccination and immunization.
