ESPEN has introduced ESPEN Collect, a mobile data collection tool tailored for national programs within WHO's AFRO region, optimized for Android devices. This tool securely manages data with PostgreSQL and utilizes survey forms in XLSform or XML syntax, aligning with the ODK ecosystem. For disease-specific surveys, ESPEN provides scientific protocol reviews, standardized training, real-time data management, and assistance for field supervisors. Survey results are quickly accessible on the ESPEN portal and are integrated into automated processes for generating the EPIRF.
