Summary
Guddi Bajis (Good Elder Sisters) are a network of rural retailers operating in 4,580 villages across Pakistan, managing health and wellness stores both online and physically. Trained by doctHERs, they utilize tablets and 4G Wi-Fi to provide services, conduct safe home health visits using PPE, and connect beneficiaries with over 2,000 licensed female healthcare professionals. Supported by partnerships with Unilever and DFID, this initiative advances women's entrepreneurship (SDG 8) and gender equality (SDG 5), while enhancing community health (SDG 3) by improving access to health supplies, including sanitary products and medications. Their health focus areas encompass vaccination/immunization, non-communicable diseases (NCDs), sexual and reproductive health, chronic conditions and disabilities, maternal and child health, communicable diseases, health promotion, and mental health.
