Summary
The Safer Event Bot is a tool designed to enhance the detection of SARS-CoV-2 at clubs and bars. It assigns unique IDs to clients, registers them for testing, and provides quick notifications about test results. If an individual tests positive, they are prohibited from attending events. The bot operates through the Telegram messenger and offers regular updates to clients on harm reduction related to psychoactive substance use, allowing for customizable messages. Developed by the Public Health Alliance ICF and supported by the Elton John AIDS Foundation, the bot's primary goal is to reduce COVID-19 transmission among patrons of entertainment venues, focusing on health promotion and communicable diseases.
