The mCARE system is a cloud-based platform that links rural health workers with pregnant women. In its second phase, mCARE II seeks to implement and assess an intervention package delivered through a mobile health application by community health workers in Bangladesh. This app facilitates workflow scheduling for household registrations, monitors pregnancies, and sends reminders for antenatal and postnatal care based on risk assessments. It also features SMS reminders and birth notifications to ensure timely postnatal services. The health focus areas of the system include maternal and child health, among others.
