The Accident and Emergency Service Information System and the OPD Information System are essential parts of a comprehensive Hospital Information System being implemented at the National Hospital of Sri Lanka, in collaboration with ICTA. These systems are designed to enhance patient care by improving data quality and boosting clinical productivity and efficiency. Their successful implementation has provided important insights into service quality. Future developments include plans to integrate records from clinics and wards, focusing on health areas such as emergencies and others.
