Summary
The project improved the OpenLMIS platform by adopting an agile methodology to create an Android application that assists health facilities with stock management, automated ordering, and alert systems for stock levels and expirations. It involved collaborative development with Ministry of Health stakeholders to ensure alignment with the supply chain's business logic in Mozambique. Additionally, a web portal was developed for real-time data reporting and analysis. A field pilot facilitated user acceptance testing and product refinement. After two years of development and evaluation, both the application and web portal received approval for national scale-up in Mozambique, with plans for integration into the immunization supply chain, SELV, focusing on vaccination and immunization efforts.
